Following the implementation of the Enhanced Table of Specification (TOS) for the subjects of the Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET/LEPT), recent BEEd and BSEd graduates (2021 onwards) are the only ones advised to take the LEPT.
Those who were affected by the late implementation of the new curriculum are encouraged to take refresher course/s to bridge the knowledge gap.
Overview of the exam
The Licensure Exam for Professional Teachers (LEPT) is a standardized test administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) designed to assess the knowledge and skills of individuals who wish to become public school teachers in the Philippines.
The licensure exam is composed of three parts:
- Professional Education (Prof Ed)
- General Education (Gen Ed)
- Specialization or Majorship
Note: The third part can only be taken by those who want to become secondary high-school teachers.
Elementary teacher examinees (BEED)
For aspiring elementary teachers, the licensure exam will consist of two parts:
